Work will commence within Luzborough Wood in the week beginning on the 30th of January to create three areas of wetland. This will be achieved by the construction of three shallow dams across the valley running through Luzborough Wood.

The purpose of the wetlands is to reduce the amount of nitrates in the stream water entering the river Test but they will also create a new habitat, enhancing the ecological diversity of the woodland. This image is of a leaky dam in Buckinghamshire aiming to attenuate storm water. The base of our dams will be clay recovered from construction on site.
