The Ashfield Partnership is currently preparing detailed planning applications (known as “reserved matters applications”) for the Mountbatten Park site, to be submitted in mid-December 2020.
Before we submit the applications, we are seeking comment on the proposals to assist in finalising our plans.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, it is not possible to hold a public consultation event locally. However, further information about the applications is available here, along with an opportunity to comment.
Mountbatten Park is proposed to become a community of around 300 new homes (and some workspace). It will likely feature a revival of Mountbatten Park, adventure space within Combined Operations Wood, and a new walled allotment garden and play space close to Hoe Farm.
We are pleased to confirm that Test Valley Borough Council’s Southern Area Planning Committee unanimously confirmed approval for the outline application in July, and the Decision Notice is expected to be issued shortly (TVBC Application Number 16/02432/OUTS).
Please find more information about the reserved matters applications here, and let us know if you have any thoughts.
